Cumbre Language Academy was founded on the belief that language opens doors to opportunity, connection, and confidence. We are committed to delivering high-quality, engaging language instruction in Spanish and English, with plans to expand into Portuguese, French, Tagalog, Mandarin, and additional global languages in the near future.
Our programs combine the expertise of certified educators with the authenticity of native speakers at higher levels, creating a dynamic and well-rounded learning experience. Students don’t just study vocabulary and grammar; they build real-world communication skills that prepare them to thrive in an increasingly connected world.

About The Founder

My name is Nikki Pérez and I am a fully credentialed Spanish teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages, with an emphasis in Spanish and Portuguese From the University of  California-Riverside. I hold both Single Subject and Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials, as well as a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Redlands.
Teaching languages is not simply my profession; it is my calling. I believe every student is capable of success with the right guidance, structure, and encouragement. My approach blends research-based instructional strategies with creativity, cultural relevance, and high expectations. I have developed a unique way of making language learning clear, accessible, and empowering for every student, regardless of their starting point.

🌎 Learning Beyond the Classroom With Travel

Language learning doesn’t stop when class ends; it comes alive when we experience it.
As part of our long-term vision, students will have the opportunity to participate in optional international immersion trips to Mexico and Cuba. These carefully curated experiences are designed to deepen language skills while exploring the heart of each country’s culture.

In Mexico, students can:
  • Practice Spanish in authentic, everyday settings
  • Explore traditional and regional cuisine
  • Experience folklórico dance and mariachi music
  • Visit local artisan markets and cultural landmarks

In Cuba, students can:
  • Immerse themselves in the rhythms of salsa and son
  • Discover the history and artistry of Santiago de Cuba
  • Learn about Afro-Caribbean cultural influences

  • Practice conversational Spanish in real cultural contexts
